Repair & Renew Sewing Workshop

Wednesday, December 44:00—6:00 PMMeeting RoomSargent Memorial Library427 Massachusetts Ave, Boxborough, MA, 01719

Learn to extend the life of your clothes by simple mending techniques with Deepika Prakash, founder of PatternReview.com. Hemming and mending are valuable skills that contribute to sustainable practices. Some knowledge of using a sewing machine may be required but not always necessary. The workshop will be limited to 15 people so we can learn effectively.

Acton Memorial Library will be hosting the November session of Repair & Renew on Thursday, November 14 at 4 - 6 PM. Participants will sew their own tote bag from an old button down shirt! Sign up on Acton's event calendar.

For December's workshop, make a patchwork coaster or a mug rug! There is so much you can do with little pieces of fabric. Lets explore the art of hand sewing a nine-patch and turn it into a usable mug-rug or a coaster. December tends to be a busy month for everyone, so join me in this meditative workshop at Sargent memorial library. No prior sewing experience is needed. You can either sew by hand or by machine.
