For the YA edition of Summer Scares, we're reading #murdertrending by Gretchen McNeil. Read the book on your own, then join us at the library for a brief book discussion followed by pizza and the movie Nerve starring Emma Roberts (rated PG-13).

Dee Guerrera has been wrongly sentenced to Alcatraz 2.0, a prison island where people can watch their favorite convicts get killed, in this fast-paced and action-packed novel set in a near future. As each gruesome kill streams live on The Postman app and fandom culture around the show grows, Dee must band together with the island’s other inmates to not only solve how she ended up on Alcatraz 2.0 and prove her innocence, but survive the island and its notorious killers.
