Old Sturbridge Village/Coggeshall Farm
Old Sturbridge Village, the largest outdoor history museum in the Northeast, depicts a rural New England town of the 1830s. Its 200 scenic acres are home to various farm animals, authentically costumed staff, and over 40 original buildings. In an effort to further their common mission of delivering living history, the Coggeshall Farm Museum of Bristol, RI, is now associated with Old Sturbridge Village. The farm's 48 acres are dedicated to the portrayal of life on 18th-century salt marsh farms with its heirloom plant garden, heritage-breed animals, and historic buildings. Old Sturbridge Village has a gift shop and bookstore located on the premises; for information on accessibility visit their website. Both institutions offer free on-site parking.
